Advancing Research from Lab to Market
The Tennessee Technology Advancement Consortium (TTAC), a LaunchTN initiative, is a statewide technology transfer and commercialization support network to empower faculty and student innovators at Tennessee higher education institutions to bring their groundbreaking research to market. We provide the resources, expertise and connections to bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering a thriving innovation ecosystem within Tennessee’s universities.
How TTAC Fuels Innovation
TTAC’s comprehensive support system focuses on three key building blocks:
IDEATION
Enabling translational research and access to innovation
We support faculty members through the ideation process to connect their research with real-world industry challenges and increase the value of their intellectual property.
DEVELOPMENT
Supporting university technologies with commercial potential
We provide technology development resources, including proof of concept funding and SBIR/STTR support, to propel Tennessee faculty research toward key milestones needed to validate and de-risk their technology.
COMMERCIALIZATION
Advancing technologies from lab to market
We facilitate startup formation, venture development, and the marketing of technologies developed through TTAC institutions and connect them with industry partners for successful commercialization.
