After 14+ years as a traditional VC, Vic launched Jumpstart Foundry (JSF) in 2014. Designed to be a new type of healthcare investment platform, JSF provides growth capital, access to customers and the right talent to give great healthcare products and services the best chance for success. By flipping the script on traditional investing, JSF targets real industry pain points and works with existing stakeholders to innovate collaboratively, to proven success. Since its founding, Jumpstart Foundry has invested in 43 companies who have collectively raised more than $45 million in follow-on funding.
Before starting Jumpstart Foundry, Vic served as a Partner at Solidus Company, focusing his investment activity primarily in healthcare and technology. Prior to joining Solidus, he worked for five years in a similar capacity with another venture capital firm: Massey Burch Capital Corp. Over his career, Vic has made over 90 investments in early-stage innovation companies in the areas of healthcare, medical devices, diagnostic tools, technology, and data analytics.
In the 1990s, before switching to the investor side of the table, Vic co-founded and subsequently sold a software company.
Vic lives in Nashville with his wife and two sons. He has a graduate degree from Vanderbilt’s Owen School of Management and a BA from Amherst College. Vic is a member of the Nashville Healthcare Council’s Fellow program. He is also on the board of directors of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, and Harding Academy.
