Chip Blaufuss is the Assistant Vice President, Strategic Innovation at HCA. In this role, Chip leads HCA’s efforts to accelerate innovation at HCA with a focus on identifying opportunities across the company and supporting specific initiatives with funding and resources. Chip joined HCA in 2007. Prior to his current role, Chip worked in HCA’s Strategic Resource Group where he was responsible for providing consulting and advisory services for HCA corporate and field initiatives.
Prior to working at HCA, Chip held several planning and operations positions at Saint Thomas Health Services, an Ascension hospital system located in Nashville, Tennessee. He has also worked at several healthcare start-ups as well as in healthcare consulting. Chip has a BA from the College of the Holy Cross and a MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
