Eight Entrepreneurs Selected To Compete In ‘Will This Float?’ Pitch Competition

Eight finalists have been selected to pitch their business ideas at The Company Lab’s (CO.LAB) annual ‘Will This Float?’ competition. The presenters will compete for prizes before a panel of three judges and an audience of community members, who will cast votes to determine the winners.

LaunchTN Announces 2016-2017 University Venture Challenge Partners
Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN) announced today the second annual Statewide University Venture Challenge (UVC). Following a submission process, LaunchTN has selected 20 entrepreneurial focused competitions that are being hosted across 13 Tennessee-based universities. The UVC launched in 2016 to create a more connected entrepreneurial community by engaging existing university programs and support up-and-coming entrepreneurial programs. LaunchTN will be offering up to $4,000 per competition in sponsorship funds to schools participating in the statewide challenge.

As a socially active high school student, Kylee Richard loves when her phone lights up with notifications. She loves them even more if a cheerful thought or quote is attached. She’s building an iOS application that she says is designed to help teens and young adults “find their identity, get motivated about life and develop self-regulation.”
