LaunchTN welcomes entrepreneur, business and civic leader Van Tucker as COO

Tucker brings a wealth of entrepreneurial, leadership, and financial experience to Tennessee’s innovation-based economic development organization.

Nashville, TN – Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN), a public-private partnership that empowers a high-functioning statewide network of resources focused on core priorities that support Tennessee’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, today announced that Van Tucker has joined the organization as Chief Operating Officer.

In her new role, Tucker will work closely with President and CEO Margaret Dolan, providing strategic leadership, executing on LaunchTN priorities and vision, and engaging the team to continue to innovate and amplify the impact of the organization’s mission throughout the state.

Before joining LaunchTN, Tucker served as founding CEO of the Nashville Fashion Alliance, a trade organization that raised international awareness of the industry’s $6B economic impact. Prior to that, Van cofounded Avenue Bank as Chief Creative Officer, responsible for award-winning brand development.

Van began her career in financial services as a bank teller, advancing to the role of Senior Vice President for Bank of America. She launched and led the company’s first national entertainment industry division and helped to build Nashville into a world-class music center. Van also served as cofounder of CT Management Consulting, Senior Vice President of Regions/Morgan Keegan, and as a consulting strategist and executive coach.

Van has served on a variety of community and professional boards of directors, including Leadership Music (president), Americana Music Association (founder, board chair), Nashville Symphony Orchestra, Music Health Alliance, The Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation, The Arts and Business Council, Owen Graduate School of Management Alumni Board, Adventure Science Center, Tennessee Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (founder), Battleground Academy (vice-chair, Board of Trustees), Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Nashville Film Festival, Cumberland Valley Girl Scout Council, and T.J. Martell Foundation.
