New LaunchTN initiative to provide funds for entrepreneur support programs

For immediate release
Feb. 21, 2023

Nashville, TN — LaunchTN is offering one-time financial awards to organizations or companies that provide entrepreneur support programs in their communities.

“As we seek to increase our statewide impact, preference may be given to applicants who provide support outside of LaunchTN’s existing network, but all eligible organizations/companies are invited to apply,” LaunchTN Development Director Emily Masters said.

Awards will be made from a finite pool of funding set aside specifically for this new LaunchTN initiative, the Community Partner Program.

Organizations/companies may apply for up to $15,000 by outlining plans for how funds will be spent on programming to support and empower Tennessee entrepreneurs between March 1, 2023 and June 30, 2023.

LaunchTN will continue to make awards as long as funding is available through the end of the initiative timeline, which will end June 30.

Applicants can apply for costs including:

  • programming curriculum
  • marketing expenses
  • certain event expenses
  • external speaker/educator fees

Non-permissible costs include personnel expenses, overhead costs (such as rent, utilities), direct cash prizes, and some travel costs.

Full guidelines and the application link are available online.
