Nashville, TN — Veteran marketing executive Rory Levine has joined the Launch Tennessee team, serving as strategist, creative developer, and leader of all LaunchTN brand-related initiatives.
“Rory brings a deep understanding of marketing strategy and a wealth of leadership experience that will benefit our team,” Launch Tennessee CEO Lindsey Cox said. “His expertise in producing high-impact live events will benefit our organization as we look to expand events like our entrepreneur conference, 3686.”
Overseeing marketing and communications and working across owned, earned, and paid media channels, Rory focuses on three key areas: development and execution of the organization’s master and sub brands; support of the Development team’s partnerships and fulfillment of sponsorships; and activation of major tentpole events like 3686 conference, Tennessee House, and more. He will also look to grow the organization’s digital and email marketing footprint, as well as develop and roll out a dynamic content strategy.
Rory moved to Nashville in 2016 and boasts a career leading and growing some of the most resonant media brands.
Most recently, he served as Vice President, Marketing and Digital Strategy & Engagement at the Academy of Country Music, the powerhouse trade organization, at a major moment of transformation and growth, including making history as the first major awards show to move to streaming exclusively.
Prior to that, he led major marketing and communications initiatives at The Atlantic magazine’s live events business, U.S. cable TV networks CMT and BBC America, and celebrated arts non-profit AIGA, the Professional Association for Design.
He hails from the Hudson Valley of New York state and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
