Launch Tennessee to Host a Conversation with Magnate Percy “Master P” Miller

NASHVILLE – October 13, 2021 – Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN) will host its first event in a new series called #BuildTN Conversations in an effort to highlight the startups and technology-based businesses across Tennessee. This event will be held for a limited number of people in-person with the general public invited to join online. It is hosted in partnership with the Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s Twende program and the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM).

Percy is one of the greatest entrepreneurs of our time,” said the program’s moderator Dan Weisman of AllianceBernstein. “As an entrepreneur and former music executive, I have been a fan of Percy’s since I was in middle school, and I admire his journey of using the music business as a resume builder for the subsequent chapters of his life and career. I look forward to this ‘fireside chat’ about his journey as an entrepreneur and what advice he has for other Tennessee entrepreneurs trying to do the same.”

The event will be an intimate conversation with Percy Miller (aka Master P). A new semi-transplant in Nashville, he will share his journey as an entrepreneur and investor and why he chooses Tennessee to continue to expand his business opportunities as his son embarks on his collegiate path at Tennessee State University.

In partnership with Twende, a statewide accelerator for founders of color, three participants in the Twende cohort will have an opportunity to join Miller on-stage for a question and answer session.

LaunchTN’s new #BuildTN Conversations program series will offer Tennessee’s entrepreneurs real-world insight on starting a business and getting funded. Through the #BuildTN series, LaunchTN will offer Tennessee startups a larger community where they can engage with the state’s entrepreneur ecosystem in between its annual flagship 3686 event.

“We are excited to continue being an unwavering conduit for innovation in the state by inviting Tennessee’s growing entrepreneur ecosystem to these unique conversations. From public-private partnerships, investors, startups, minority-owned, veteran, rural and disabled business owners all are invited to join us for this LaunchTN event series,” shares Ashley Currie, Marketing & Communications Director at LaunchTN.

The event will be livestreamed from the National Museum of African American Music and registration is free to tune-in virtually. Learn more here: https://launchtn.org/buildtn-conversations/.
