Nashville, TN — Shoe designer Stuart Weitzman, whose creations have been worn on the red carpet by everyone from Beyoncé to Taylor Swift, will give the keynote address this year at Launch Tennessee’s entrepreneurship conference, 3686.
Weitzman will speak about his lifelong entrepreneurial journey, which includes leadership of the internationally renowned company that bears his name. He has been honored extensively for his unique approach to entrepreneurship and for his uncompromising commitment to prioritizing function as an integral element of fashion.
The conference, which is Tennessee’s largest gathering of founders, investors and entrepreneurs, will also include panel discussions on artificial intelligence, sports tech, climate tech, international business, and more.
“This year’s programming will educate and delight attendees, who will benefit from making valuable direct connections at 3686,” LaunchTN CEO Lindsey Cox said. “This is the one time of year that people from across the state and country come together to learn about Tennessee’s startup scene, and that always makes for an exciting and invaluable week. Last year’s event drew more than 880 people from 33 states and created more than 900 1-on-1 connections. We can’t wait to build on that success and welcome entrepreneurs to the Volunteer State.”
Mayors from Tennessee’s major cities — Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga — will also participate in the annual conference, sharing innovation highlights from their respective regions.
The 3686 conference also includes an annual pitch competition, this year presented by Amazon. The winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize plus the potential to secure funding through LaunchTN’s investment fund, InvestTN.
3686 event design and production will be provided by Harbor, an experience agency rooted in strategy, technical mastery, and next-level creativity.
“Through partnering with Harbor, we’ll be able to ensure a meaningful and memorable experience for all 3686 attendees,” LaunchTN Development Director Emily Masters said.
