Resources for Entrepreneurial Researchers Workshops include curricula covering SBIR/STTR federal grant programs and the full portfolio of resources available to early-stage companies commercializing technology in Tennessee. Workshops can be tailored for audiences with all levels of grant-writing expertise.
Workshop 1: Resource Overview
One hour covering LaunchTN’s portfolio of programs and resources, tying in those available from the host and other local partners organizations. Includes Q&A and networking time. This can be a breakfast, lunch & learn, or a happy hour.
Workshop 2: SBIR/STTR Grant Orientation + Resource Overview
Three to four hours covering an in-depth look at these federal grant opportunities, plus an abbreviated version of the Resource Overview content. The SBIR/STTR lessons are tailored to the audience’s experience level with the topic. Includes Q&A and networking time. This is best scheduled in the morning, with light breakfast/coffee.
Workshop Office Hours
30 minute 1:1 meetings with a commercialization consultant. Usually paired with Workshop 1 or Workshop 2. Participants sign up and prepare a quad chart for review in advance. Office hours are intended for researchers and companies to get customized action items toward an SBIR/STTR grant application.
Workshops will be posted here as they are scheduled.
These workshops are funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
