Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN) is a public-private partnership that supports entrepreneurship and economic development with a goal to make Tennessee the best state in the country for startups. Position Overview:
Data is essential to helping us meet our goals and drive our organizational mission. We are searching for a well-organized and detail-oriented individual who can work with data to generate insights about our work. The Data and Technology Coordinator will primarily be responsible for aggregating data and developing recurring and one-time reports for internal use and for sharing with external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will also be capable of coordinating efforts to streamline and fully operationalize organization-wide use of technology.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with development team to administer and evaluate survey data for program evaluation
- Aggregate data and develop recurring and one-time reports for internal and external use (i.e. to satisfy requirements for grant compliance/reporting, to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws)
- Maintain spreadsheets and other tools used in data compliance
- Lead efforts to maintain organization’s database
- Streamline, organize, and lead efforts to maintain order in organization’s shared drive
- Work with other team members and partners to assist in their use of relational database and integrations to improve data-related processes
- Serve as liaison to organization technology consultant regarding staff utilization of various software applications and platforms

Plan and execute all responsibilities with a view toward:

- Expanding direct or indirect financial and non-financial resources available to Tennessee companies to enable their formation, growth, and sustainability

Potential Indicators of Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or experience commensurate with desired education)
- Advanced Excel user
- G Suite user experience
- Familiarity with relational database management and integrations (i.e. Airtable platform, Zapier workflow automation)
- Strong command of technology as a tool for organizational success and an interest in effective utilization of technology
- Effective communicator who can generate and explain data reports internally and externally
- Organized and detail-oriented with ability to work with data to generate insights and present information in the form of data reports and dashboards
- Time management and adherence to deadlines
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. LaunchTN is willing to offer flexibility in work arrangements for the right candidate.
