  1. West End Kitchen and Bar

    West End Kitchen and Bar isn’t just a hotel bar, it’s a great place to meet friends or get a meal before heading to a show at Analog. West End is a beautiful restaurant inside the Hutton Hotel and has a seasonal menu.

    407 Gallatin Ave, Nashville, TN 37206
    Located in East Nashville, this is a great late night spot with inventive drinks, like the Pawpaw, which includes bourbon, Coca-Cola and peanuts. It’s a bar that’ll have you coming back just so you can try every drink.
  3. Nada
    202 21st Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203
    Nada is a beautiful restaurant with a creative menu of margaritas that pair perfectly with their selection of tacos.
  4. Ruby Ann’s
    726 Mcferrin Ave, Nashville, TN 37206
    It’s easy to find a biscuit in the south, but a biscuit like the ones at Ruby Ann’s are hard to come by. Their staple, the “Big Rube,” combines the chicken biscuit with pepper jelly and goat cheese for a surprising and delicious combination. Don’t let the gas station fool you, Ruby Ann’s should not be slept on.

    A local coffee shop with great coffee and menu items made from scratch. Eighth and Roast is right across the street from Zanies Comedy Club and is a perfect place for an iced coffee and quick bite.
  6. Proper Sake
    628 Ewing Ave, Nashville, TN 37203
    Proper Sake Co. is different from any brewery you might have visited before. It employs techniques used by Japanese sake brewers in its exclusive brews and is the only sake tasting room in Nashville.
  7. Proper Bagel
    2011 Belmont Blvd, Nashville, TN 37212
    An authentic New York style bagel is something you may not expect in Nashville. A family-owned operation 35 years in the making, Proper Bagel is serious about the quality of their food. The creative menu items pay homage to classic bagel making techniques but with a twist.

    If it’s not on your list, ditch the list. Hot chicken is a Nashville staple, and Hattie B’s is one of the best known hot chicken establishments in town. They offer several heat levels and options of how to get your hot chicken, whether by sandwich or by plate.
  9. Mas Tacos Por Favor

    A restaurant doesn’t have to be crazy or over the top to be remembered. Mas Tacos is one of those places–it excels in simplicity. Mas Tacos serves tacos, soup and plantains and elotes if you want them and they do it really well. It’s cash only and well worth the wait.

    610 Magazine St, Nashville, TN 37203
    If you think of your coffee as an experience rather than a part of your routine, try Barista Parlor. It offers a great selection of curated coffees and espresso drinks and doubles as a brunch spot with their selection of delicious breakfast items. Bonus: The original location on Gallatin Ave in East Nashville is a former transmission shop!

    The Candle Bar is an experiential one-stop-shop for candle lovers, where customers can make their own candles and learn about the candle making process from the experts at Paddywax.
  2. The Idea Hatchery

    The Idea Hatchery is home to several local small businesses in East Nashville’s Five Points area. The roster features local artists of all kinds, such as a used and rare bookstore, an art gallery and more.
  3. Old Made Good

    Specializing in vintage and handmade goods, this shop takes older items and updates them for this decade. The shop has something for everyone.
  4. Anaconda Vintage

    This boutique is curated by some of the most stylish local musicians. Anaconda Vintage is making a name for itself with its great collection of items for both men and women.
  5. Grimey’s New and Preloved Music

    If records are your thing, you must stop by Grimey’s. With a wide selection of vinyl, CDs and cassettes, Grimey’s has plenty in every genre. And while you’re there, pick up a record by your favorite band or a tape by a local band you’ve just discovered. If you come at the right time you can catch a free show instore by a local band!
  6. House Of

    This boutique is run through the Belmont Entrepreneurship Center and hosts designs created by students of Belmont University and local Nashville creators. Stop by to check out and support emerging designers in the community.
  7. ROOTED
    62 Hermitage Ave, Nashville, TN 37210
    This is a stop for sneakerheads traveling to Music City. With exclusive worldwide and Nashville drops, it’s the city’s premium streetwear and apparel boutique. ROOTED makes being a sneakerhead in Nashville a little bit easier.
  8. ABLE
    5022 Centennial Blvd, Nashville, TN 37209
    ABLE is a lifestyle brand turned retail store that is working to end generational poverty. The flagship store sells quality clothing, accessories, shoes and more, but it is their mission that sets them apart. Through each purchase ABLE invests back into the Nashville community to create jobs and work on ending charity dependency.
  9. The Shoppes on Fatherland

    This a retail community home to more than 20 local businesses, where shoppers can access local retailers and entrepreneurs all in one place.
  10. Keep Shop Nashville

    Keep Shop Nashville is a luxury retail store inside the Noelle Hotel and specializes in locally made items like leather goods, clothing and jewelry from makers all across the city.

  1. Mercy Lounge/The High Watt
    1 Cannery Row, Nashville, TN 37203
    Mercy Lounge is a live music venue and bar that features a lineup of local musicians. It’s standing-room-only and is a place where you can see a great concert without breaking the bank.
  2. Analog @Hutton Hotel
    2506, 1808 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203
    Located inside the Hutton Hotel, Analog is one of Nashville’s newest live music venues. It feels more like a social club than an event space so any live show seems intimate. Analog is a beautiful space and recommended by both performers and concert goers.
  3. Frist Art Museum
    919 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203
    There is always something new to see at the Frist Art Museum, which presents the work of local artists and brings visual art from around the world to Nashville.
  4. Belcourt Theater
    2102 Belcourt Ave, Nashville, TN 37212
    Nashville’s nonprofit film center screens movies with meaning to the community, including films that might not have had a worldwide release.
  5. Pinewood Social
    33 Peabody St, Nashville, TN 37210
    This is the place to be if you’re traveling with friends. Their updated dining room is decked with couches and recliners that will make you feel right at home. After you finish dinner, step out back to enjoy their outdoor patio, bowling alley, airstream and pool. Whether it is your first or only stop, Pinewood Social should be at the top of your list.
  6. Zanies Comedy Night Club

    Some great acts have come through Zanies since it opened 35 years ago and there are more on the way! Every city has its own voice, and at Zanies you can see what the Nashville standup scene is all about.
  7. Fox Bar and Cocktail Club

    This East Nashville gem is another spot perfect for grabbing a drink with friends. The bar is intimate with a beautiful interior that is “Gatsby-esque”, with a cocktail menu of carefully crafted drinks that rotate each season.
  8. Play Dance Bar (LGBTQ+)
    1519 Church St, Nashville, TN 37203
    If you’re not willing to dance, PLAY is not for you. It’s a dance bar with great DJs and hosts drag shows throughout the night. PLAY is a fun spot with great drinks and a fun crowd every weekend!
  9. Little Harpeth Brewing
    30 Oldham St, Nashville, TN 37213
    Little Harpeth Brewing makes for a great night out. The brewery hosts tours of their facilities during the day and allows visitors to try their brews. The Little Harpeth Taproom is open from Thursday to Sunday and is also a live music venue.
  10. Rare Bird
    200 Fourth Avenue N., Nashville, TN 37219
    Rare Bird is a newer addition to Nashville. It’s a rooftop restaurant and lounge that has a perfect view of the skyline and handcrafted cocktail and drinks program.
