Join Us for A Special One-Time Screening of this New Empowering Documentary on Female Entrepreneurs

CHATTANOOGA, TN (10/7/16) –The JumpFund will be hosting a one-time screening of “She Started It” at the Chattanooga Public Library 4th floor on Wednesday, October 26 at 5:30 PM. SHE STARTED IT follows five young women over two years as they pitch VCs, build teams, bring products to market, fail and start again. SHE STARTED IT takes viewers on a global roller coaster ride from San Francisco to Mississippi, France and Vietnam. Along the way, it weaves in big-picture perspectives from women like investor Joanne Wilson; White House CTO Megan Smith; GoldieBlox CEO Debbie Sterling; and Ruchi Sanghvi, the first female engineer at Facebook. Help us inspire the next generation to dream bigger, and urge today’s generation to support women entrepreneurs.

The JumpFund is pleased to partner with the Company Lab, Carbon Five, The Enterprise Center, Lamp Post Group, Miller & Martin, and Mad Bad & Dangerous/GPS who have helped bring this important, timely movie to our local audience. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director, Nora Poggi, as well as co-star of the film, Sheena Allen. The JumpFund is a Chattanooga-based angel fund comprised of women investing in women-led growth ventures. Their first fund has invested in 18 women-led companies across the Southeast U.S.  Along with the work of incubators and investors such as the Company Lab, the GigTank, the Lamp Post Group and the Chattanooga Renaissance Fund, our community is creating a dynamic new entrepreneurial ecosystem. The JumpFund’s vision is to make the Southeast the best place for a woman to start or grow a business.
