NASHVILLE, Tenn., September 12, 2016 – Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN) announced today the application period for their fourth annual TENN program is open. The TENN is a one-of-a-kind program designed to propel some of the most promising startup companies in Tennessee to the next level through highly-focused mentorship, access to functional expertise, and investor introductions across the state, region and country.
In the program’s three years, there have been 24 total graduates, with 25% of those companies being female founded. Collectively, those 24 companies have raised a total of $14.8 million in capital.
“We look forward to launching our fourth annual TENN program and are excited about the promising number of applications we expect to receive,” said Charlie Brock, CEO of Launch Tennessee. “The TENN program is extremely valuable for early-stage companies, offering another level of support with increased exposure to investors, mentors and potential customers.”
Eligible companies are those who have participated in a program provided by the statewide entrepreneur center network or other Tennessee-based accelerator programs. A new feature for this year’s program also expands eligibility to any company who has participated in LaunchTN programming such as the University Venture Challenge or 36|86’s Village 36.
Applications will be accepted through September 30th and the selected companies will be announced on October 19th with the official program kickoff in mid-November. The full TENN program will include access to high-quality mentors and learning days on key business topics such as marketing, financial management and operations. The selected companies will also travel throughout Tennessee to meet with key investors and business executives during a weeklong roadshow as well as business networking trips to California and New York. The program will conclude with a demo day in Spring 2017.
