As MLK Brewery Nears Opening, Owners Work to Meet Kickstarter Goal

Construction on a new Martin Luther King Boulevard brewery is moving quickly, and the owners have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds and enhance the taproom environment. Bryan Boyd and his son Jay are the owners of OddStory Brewing Co., and Bryan said that the funds raised via the Kickstarter campaign will help create a space that can foster conversation and comfort.

Back when she was managing artists like Keith Urban and Hunter Hayes, Betsy McHugh longed for a way to communicate directly with specific audience members. Sixth Graders Try on STEM Careers at UTHSC

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is partnering with the Nexus STEM Academy public charter school in southeast Memphis to encourage students to pursue careers in the health care industry. The partnership’s first event was a white coat and tassel ceremony for 98 sixth-grade students on Oct. 20 inside Schreier Auditorium at the UTHSC Student-Alumni Center.

Urban Digital will be held Saturday at POP Nashville and will provide tools and resources to individuals seeking to grow their business by boosting their online presence. The focus will include social media, website development, branding, the latest digital apps and podcasting, according to Urbaanite.
