4 Things You Need to Know About Hytch

Some 20,000 cars commute to Nashville every morning from Clarksville with 100,000 empty seats. Hytch, LLC aims to fill in these spots with passengers significantly reducing traffic and pollution on Interstate 24. The smartphone app was formally introduced in Clarksville and Montgomery County on September 19th from the courthouse by County Mayor Jim Durrett and Hytch CEO Mark Cleveland.


John “Thunder” Thornton Named TWU 2016 Distinguished Entrepreneur

John “Thunder” Thornton was named the recipient of Tennessee Wesleyan University’s 2016 Distinguished Entrepreneur Award this Tuesday. Mr. Thornton is the third recipient of this award, presented annually by the TWU business administration department. TWU Board of Trustees Chairman Allen Carter introduced Mr. Thornton and presented this year’s award.

WordCamp US 2017-2018 in Nashville

The title says it all. We had some great applications for cities to host WordCamp US after we finish up in Philadelphia this year, and the city chosen for 2017-2018 is Nashville, Tennessee. Based on the other great applications we got I’m also excited about the pipeline of communities that could host it in future years as WordCamp US travels across the United States and gives us an opportunity to learn and love a new city, as we have with Philadelphia.
