This year, our prognosticators include one new face from Chattanooga – Kristina Montague of The JumpFund. CO.LAB Accepting Applications for Spring Business Accelerator Program

The Company Lab is seeking applications for CO.LAB Accelerator, a program that connects high-growth potential startups with the resources they need to grow. “The entrepreneurs we support through the CO.LAB Accelerator are the heart and soul of our work in this community,” CO.LAB Executive Director Mike Bradshaw said in a prepared statement. “We’re always experimenting with new ways to improve the experience for participants, as well as for opportunities to make our resources more accessible to entrepreneurs in our region.”

Local Motors Plans Two New 3D-Printing Micro-Factories

In recent years, the technology behind 3D printing has accelerated at warp speed, allowing engineers to print larger and ever more complex creations. Phoenix-based Local Motors is arguably at the forefront of this space race. The firm began 3D-printing its bare-bones Strati car on the show floor at this week’s Detroit auto show.

The South by Southwest Interactive Festival today announced the finalists, judges and emcees for the seventh annual SXSW Accelerator competition presented by Oracle, March 14-15, during SXSW Interactive Festival’s Startup Village. The Accelerator competition brings together leading startups from around the world to present their innovations to a live audience and panel of experts that includes successful entrepreneurs, investors and industry influencers.
