Leslie Jump is the Founder of Startup Angels, an organization that promotes angel investing in cities throughout the U.S. As part of this mission, Leslie has also created an annual conference called The Angel Summit. In October, the third Angel Summit will be held in Chattanooga, TN. Previous gatherings were held in Dallas and Madrid. On this week’s episode, Leslie will explain why angel investors are so crucial to sustaining a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Gabriella Portillo likely holds the record for the farthest distance traveled to attend summer camp at TechTown. She lives in El Salvador but has family here, so she came to take film classes during the facility’s summer camp offerings. On Friday, the campers presented what they have worked on and parents came to see their work. Portillo said she made friends through the camp and would advise anyone to give the camps a try.She’s always been interested in film and cameras and hopes to be an actress or director someday. And she said the TechTown leaders made the experience fun. “They take you seriously,” she said of the leaders and camp teachers.

Entrepreneur and best-selling author Gary Vaynerchuk founded the company, and his personality and ethics dictate the company’s values.
